Ceramic Tech Inc. specializes in the manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly of ceramic parts as well as prefired machining and quartz grinding. Based in Fremont, Calif., the company offers a broad range of services, such as fabricating, threaded holes & rods, slicing & dicing, lapping, polishing, ceramic glazing, and laser marking among others. Its capabilities include assembly, green machining, grinding, laser marking, lapping, precision cleaning, etc.

Main Functions

The Quality Site Leader plans, maintains and implements CTI’s quality management system including compliance to ISO and AS standards and other applicable standards.

Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, assists with employee training, and recommends and implements improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions to ensure a safe and productive work environment. The QSL will report to the Executive Director of Quality.

 

Responsibilities

  • Schedules the work of the Quality Department personnel
  • Supervises the maintenance of the Quality Systems including reports on RMA's, NCR's and Customer Corrective Actions as well as internal Corrective Actions
  • Responsible for Preventative Actions
  • Member of the Material Review Board and the Executive Planning Team
  • Schedules Internal Audits
  • Schedules Vendor audits

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing methods and related systems
  • Ability to apply appropriate supervisory approach -- coaching, directing, etc.

  • Working knowledge of ERP software, MRP, Scheduling and Planning systems, MS Office

Preferred Skills

  • Fluent with M2M MRP/ERP system
  • Knowledge of military and commercial specifications and standards
  • Lean manufacturing /six sigma training and experience

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience Requirements

  • 8+ years in a Machine Shop or Manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years managing direct reports
