Swing: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM / Monday – Friday (+10% Differential in hourly rate)

CTI, a Fralock company has multiple CNC Operator/Machinist positions available on our 2nd Shift which is between 3-11:30 pm. Ceramic Tech is located in the Bay area in Fremont, CA.

This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR (which generally means (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, as specified under applicable law.


Typical Duties

  • Read and understand job traveler instructions, technical drawings, and set-up diagrams
  • Measure and record products or materials to control quality
  • Monitor machinery/ equipment operation to detect problems
  • Use hand tools; Adjust production equipment/ machinery setup
  • Apply Procedures and Work Instructions
  • Work closely with experienced Supervisor to train on machines and processes during the first 1-3 months; ongoing training will be required as skills advance

  • Basic to strong mathematics skills required for daily use
  • Overall strong technical aptitude and desire to learn and grow in a career path


Preferred Skills

  • Familiar with various Measurement Tools including Micrometers & Calipers


Education Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, AA degree or come college all welcome

Experience Requirements

  • 1-2 CNC Ceramics or Metals experience a big plus, but not required (we are willing to train)
  • Manufacturing / Production experience a plus, but again not required
  • 2 – 10+ years work experience (in any industry) that shows you have a proven track record with previous employer(s)


Physical Requirements

  • Requires using hands to handle tools or controls.
  • Requires repetitive movement.
  • Must have vision (with or without assistance) capable of seeing small objects at a close distance.
  • Requires prolonged standing/sitting.
  • Requires lifting up to 25lbs

Training Requirement

  • Candidates with 0 experience will need to train for 2-3 months before moving to the swing shift
  • Candidates with 5+ years of experience will need to train for 1-2 months on the day shift before moving to the swing shift
