Job Summary

The Composite Technician will performs composite layup and layup techniques for bonding, trimming, curing and inspecting composite materials in a safe and efficient manner, with a focus on quality. You will be trained to use an Autoclave machine which is critical to our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Job Summary

This role will be focused on Fralock's structural ceramics manufacturing business. This position will help lead process improvements at our manufacturing facilities in Fremont and Rocklin. Key Responsibilities

  • Follow detailed training plan as specified in the Results Producing Management (RPM) schedule.
  • Follow production priorities as established by the Screening Department Supervisor
  • Manage March Plasma system machines
  • Change gas cylinders as required
  • Communicate material inventory concerns to the Department Supervisor
  • Communicate to the Department Supervisor any changes in production status
  • Follow all company and departmental processes and procedures
  • Monitor quality of work and compliance with process and product specifications
  • Maintain statistical process control (SPC) data collection chart
  • Interface with Waste Treatment personnel to maintain waste treatment compliance
  • Assist new hires on basic set up and operations , provide relief support on equipment and processes.
  • Acquire and improve knowledge of internal and external customer needs
  • Participate in the evaluation of processes , new equipment , facility improvements and procedures.
  • Follow company policies

Required Skills

  • Knowledge in manufacturing flex and rigid-flex printed circuit boards
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
  • Knowledge in understanding prints and specifications
  • Ability to visually verify fine detail work
  • Ability to understand and follow directions regarding manufacturing flexible printed circuit boards
  • Ability to pull/lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for a long period of time

Experience Requirements

  • 1-year minimum experience of printed circuit board

  • High School Diploma

  • Identify defects according to IPC
  • Grind mounds, arrange coupons, polish and set up final cross section
  • Perform basic microsection duties in a timely manner

  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) as needed.

Required Skills

  • Experience in the FPCA (Flexible Printed Circuit Assembly) manufacturing a plus
