Main Functions

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of program and project objectives ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Coordinates internal and external resources to ensure execution of programs and projects within time lines and budget. Holds delegated cross-functional authority, including production, purchasing and scheduling to make customer commitments, assign tasks, and direct the means for completing the commitments and assignments. Typical Duties

Principal contact on assigned projects/programs for customer interaction

Coordinates and oversees other Fralock functions in support of projects/programs

Performs contract review and participates in pricing and proposal development

Manages contract execution to assure all requirements are attained

Leads the planning and implementation of programs and related projects

Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables

Defines project tasks and resource requirements

Develops and manages full scale project plans and/or timelines

Assembles and coordinates project staff

Tracks project deliverables using appropriate tools

Provides direction and support to project team

Presents reports defining project progress, problems and solutions

Implements and manages project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs

Prepares project evaluations and assessment of results

Monitors and reports on progress of projects/programs to all stakeholders, including reports defining progress, problems and solutions

Performs project lessons learned, assessment of results and implements process improvements

Required Skills

Excellent communication, coordination, facilitation and presentation skills

Ability to understand manufacturing requirements, processes and flows

Effective Project/Program management skills

Advanced skill level with computer applications such as MS Office Software, including MS Project, Word, Power Point, and Excel

Valid drivers license, auto insurance and acceptable driving record

Ability to multi-task

Ablity to anticipate issues and take timely action on programs to minimize undesired impacts

Demonstrated working experience with one or more ERP systems

Demonstrated use of Structured Problem Solving skills

Preferred Skills

5 to 10 years Medical Product Design experience

Technical / Engineering aptitude

Experience with one or more ERP systems

FDA and ISO13485 experience

Contract Review experience

Education Requirements
-Bachelor of Science degree

-Project Management Professional (PMP) or other Project Management Certification

Experience Requirements

Min. 5 years Program Management experience in:

a. Medical or Aerospace fields and,

Main Functions

One of three defined business segments, the position is the primary accountable executive providing the senior most leadership to, and oversight of all aspects of the assigned segment and business. The Segment General Manager is a key member of Executive Management Team and actively engages in managing enterprise.

The position provides leadership and oversight for development of strategy for the segment towards both multiyear and annual objectives. It is then responsible for developing operational plans for the execution of the strategy and ultimately the delivery of business performance. Segment GM's will do this through their own personal contributions and through leading a team of solid and matrixed personnel towards the objectives. As part of the market share growth they are expected to oversee all customer engagement aspects and related opportunities for new and existing customers, including personal participation commensurate with the significance of the business. Oversite/participation in customer engagement activities will involve all aspects from opportunity targeting, to identification through proposal development and capture. The primary deliverables of customer engagement is the company's profitable growth and customer trust. Profitability will be managed primarily through product positioning and pricing strategies set by the segment leader and they will additionally be expected to advocate for their business segments needs on quality, cost, delivery and product offerings, to ensure the company remains and improves its competitive market positioning.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and general management, in a manufacturing environment, producing solutions and products for advanced systems integrators and OEM's in the A&D arena.
  • Business development in the A&D fields.

  • Financial management and an understanding of cost accounting and pricing.
  • Thorough and working knowledge of the Systems and Equipment aspects of A&D markets including air and spacecraft, the market participants, programs, market expectations, etc.

Typical Duties

- Interprets work instructions and drawings to determine materials, tools and processes to use for each product, as directed.

- Maintains cleanliness of cleanroom by following all requirements, appropriate dress and regular housekeeping.

- Inspects all materials for both quality and accuracy to the Bill of Materials (BOM).

- Ensures all assemblies are free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and nonconformance issues by following cleanroom requirements.

- Handle polyimides, sealants, fiberglass, metals, and other composite materials.

- Inspects own work for compliance to instructions and quality of work, along with the use of hand held precision measuring equipment, such as calipers and micrometers.

- Safety procedures strictly adhered to within the autoclave process during movement of product, performance of basic integrity checks and sensor preparations.

- Set-up and monitoring autoclave cycles are performed, with a focus on potential mechanical errors.

- Inspects processed composites for any contamination and/or non-conformances.

- Prepares rejection tags, documents findings, and reports all non-conformances to Production Supervisor.

- Packages and labels all acceptable finished products.

- Both individually and within a team setting, participates in continuous improvement (CI) efforts for efficiency, quality, and safety, to include offering suggestions, ideas, and support wherever possible

- Works both independently and in teams for cross-training and project purposes.

- Assists in training and mentoring peers as needed.

Required Skills

Reading comprehension: Interpreting written information such as technical reports, manuals, layups, work instructions, written directions/warnings

Writing: Involves preparing information or documents such as nonconformance reports, technical reports and shift hand-offs
