Main Functions
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for the timely receipt and processing of all daily incoming goods that have been shipped from suppliers, customers, or miscellaneous suppliers.
This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR (which generally means (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, as specified under applicable law.
Typical Duties
- Unload or assist unloading of product on incoming shipments
- Compile information on shipments and materials
- Analyze packing slips and Fralock purchase orders to verify materials
- Measure material thickness when necessary
- Reporting of material discrepancies including lost or damaged items along with creating reports
- Processing of material returns
- Receipt of customer supplied material
- Acquires necessary documents for shipments that arrive without information, or are not properly documented, from the Fralock purchasing team.
- Ensures timely receipt and data transactions on all purchased items within M2M system
- Collate receiving documentation for next the department to use or file as necessary
- Put away received items on warehouse shelves
- Dispose of extra pallets in onsite dumpster
- Support material handlers as needed
- Other tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor - General administrative duties as assigned on an on-going basis
Required Skills
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office
- Forklift experience
- Solid math skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to review, understand and follow internal and external documentation
- Working knowledge of ERP receiving processes
Preferred Skills
- Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels
- Working knowledge of ERP receiving processes
- Made 2 Manage is a plus
Education Requirements
High School diploma, G.E.D. or five (5) years’ work experience.
Experience Requirements
1 year of warehouse experience
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to spend the day standing, walking, bending, reaching and handling product
