Responsibilities

What does a Touch up/ Rework Operator do? They use microscopes to verify correct part placement and orientation, manually align parts before soldering, and perform post-re-flow inspection and touch-up.

 

Typical Duties

  • Perform hand soldering & touch-up rework for SMT and through-hole inspection includes components for SMT and PTH
  • Perform rework based on instructions, ECO, deviation, etc.
  • Support engineering projects as required

 

 

Required Skills

  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Ability to solder under a microscope and perform an inspection
  • Familiar with RoHS and non-RoHS rework techniques
  • Understand ESD practices, board handling, and safety
  • Familiar with flex/rigid-flex circuit board a plus
  • Certification to J-STD-001 a plus

 

 

Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent

 

Experience Requirements

  • 2+ years inspecting mfg electronics components and PCBA

 

Equipment

  • Wear required PPE as needed
